AIU announces opening of virtual campus designed to give students access to a quality education online, on campus, on their schedule
New class of convenience now empowers students to mix classes on campus with courses online to earn an industry-current degree.
American InterContinental University is proud to offer a new degree of convenience designed to accommodate the real-world lifestyles of today's students. AIU addresses one of the biggest obstacles facing motivated learners today: the time commitment required to attend classes strictly on a traditional college campus.
AIU's virtual campus is an extension of the university's network of traditional campus locations around the world. Students enrolling to earn their Associate's, Bachelor's or MBA degree may now choose to mix classes on campus with courses online. That means AIU students get the best of both worlds: a supportive, engaging academic community and the convenience of online learning.
The virtual campus is available to students attending the AIU campuses in Atlanta (Dunwoody and Buckhead), South Florida, Los Angeles and London.
How It Works
Students enrolling to earn an Associate's or Bachelor's degree will have the freedom to take all general education courses in their chosen curriculum online. Upper-level and concentration courses must be completed in traditional classroom format at the AIU campus most convenient to them.
MBA students have even more freedom to choose a format that most conveniently accommodates their personal and professional obligations. All required courses - including concentration courses - are available via the online campus.
AIU campuses also offer many evening and weekend classes to accommodate the schedules of busy adults and working professionals.
A Realistic Option for Working Professionals
In today's real world, available time (or the lack of it) prevents many hardworking individuals from pursuing and achieving their academic and professional potential. The virtual campus offers a realistic and convenient option for many people to achieve their dream of earning a career-focused, industry-current degree.
The convenience offered by AIU's Blended Learning Option is expected to open academic doors to:
- Dedicated professionals with job-related travel and unpredictable office hours.
- Military personnel with changing or unpredictable schedules.
- Busy parents with child-rearing responsibilities and scheduling conflicts.
- Anyone living too far from campus to commute daily to attend classes.
AIU continues to establish its position at the forefront of modern education by responding to the growing number of degree seekers expressing a preference to mix classes on campus with courses online.
Students interested in enrolling in time for the next available session of classes are encouraged to contact an AIU Admissions Advisor as soon as possible.
